Second Mkono Open Youth Tennis Tournament to be held in Dar es Salaam
For the second consecutive year, the Mkono Open Youth Tennis Tournament will be held in Dar es Salaam's Gymkhana Club on February 21 and 22, 2009.
A total of 80 young players between the age of 8 and 18 will be competing in 13 different categories. Both boys and girls will get the chance to play singles as well as doubles and it is expected that most of the participants will make good use of this opportunity.
Target group for the tournament are those youngsters who could usually not afford to participate in competitions because of the high entrance fees. The Mkono Open will be completely free and offers kids a good way to practice their skills under tournament conditions which is crucial for the development of their game.
Spectators are very welcome at the venue and are guaranteed some entertaining and exciting matches!
